One-Time POS Licence vs Monthly Subscription: Compare the Real Cost
A small monthly figure and a one-time software quote describe different payment models.

A small monthly figure and a one-time software quote describe different payment models. Neither tells you the complete ownership cost by itself. Selected iPOS POS solutions are offered with one-time software licensing, while hosted services, apps, integrations and Infinity ERP are scoped separately. Compare written proposals over the same period and the same business requirements.
Product guide: iPOS POS options include offline, online and hybrid configurations. iPOS Web POS is the online product; iPOS Infinity is the ERP system. Selected POS editions offer one-time software licensing; request the edition-specific commercial scope.
Put monthly pricing on an annual basis
An illustrative subscription of PKR 6,500 per month totals PKR 78,000 over twelve months and PKR 234,000 over thirty-six months, before any additional charges. This is arithmetic, not a quote from a named provider or a claim about an iPOS package. Repeat the calculation using the actual written price offered to you, including billing frequency and the number of counters or branches covered.
Understand what the one-time licence includes
Ask which software edition, number of devices or users and installation rights are included in the licence. Clarify whether moving to a replacement computer is covered and what happens if the business adds another counter. One-time software licensing does not automatically make hardware, implementation, future modules or hosted services free. A clear scope is more valuable than an attractive headline with missing conditions.

Compare the same operational scope
Put the required billing, stock, purchasing, returns, permissions and reports on one list. Add any owner app, customer ordering, ecommerce, authority integration or branch synchronization. Mark each item as included, optional or outside scope for every proposal. A basic counter licence and an enterprise ERP deployment solve different problems and should not be treated as interchangeable prices for the same product.
Build a three-year ownership worksheet
Include the initial software payment, installation, hardware, migration and training. Then add recurring subscriptions, hosting, support and any contracted service charges for the chosen period. Include taxes on the same basis across quotes. Enter only confirmed figures; leave uncertain items visible rather than silently treating them as zero. Use the calculator on the iPOS product guide to compare the written proposals.
Check support and data access
Before choosing either model, agree how staff receive help, what the support hours cover and who restores a failed system. Ask how you obtain your product, sales and stock records if your circumstances change. Licence duration, support duration and hosting availability are separate commercial questions. Record them separately so that a later renewal or service change does not come as a surprise.
Buy value rather than a label
The purpose is dependable daily operation at an understood cost. A small shop may need a focused iPOS POS setup rather than Infinity ERP. A growing organization may need the additional controls of ERP even if the initial price is higher. Ask iPOS for a quote matched to your operation; indicative discussions are not a published fixed starting-price promise.
