Separate language from commercial configuration

Interface language, product descriptions, customer documents and staff guidance can have different requirements. Identify which users need each language and review the intended terminology with them. A translated heading does not establish that dates, numbers, documents or operating instructions are appropriate. Demonstrate the supported language behaviour and identify any required translation or customization work before rollout.

Distinguish transaction and reporting currencies

Selling in one currency, receiving another payment and reporting group results in a base currency are separate requirements. Define the exchange-rate source, effective timing, rounding and the treatment of returns or adjustments. Ask the accountant and implementation team to review the proposed records. Multi-currency should describe an agreed financial workflow, not a vague claim that any amount can be displayed with another symbol.

Specify regional and time-zone responsibilities

A branch's trading day, head-office review period and server clock may not be the same. Define how dates and cutoffs are interpreted, and identify the appropriate regional document, tax and reporting requirements with responsible professionals. iPOS can scope international operating requirements, but this journal does not claim unverified country certifications, unrestricted localization or deployments that have not been documented.

A practical scenario

A retail group plans stores in two regions and wants consolidated reporting. Discovery separates local transaction language and currency from group reporting, then tests an end-of-day cutoff and a cross-period return. The project records what is supported, what requires configuration and what needs further professional or technical review.
